About Me

My name is Larisa.  I live in Georgia, about 45 minutes from Atlanta.  I have 2 wonderful little boys, "Red" who is 9 and "Blondie" who is 6.  I've been married for 20 years.  I am a self proclaimed food detective.  This started when my oldest was 1 1/2, trying to find the cause of his severe eczema.  When he was 3, after having been on an all natural diet for his eczema, he started exhibiting symptoms of ADHD as well as OCD, ODD, depression, aggression & Tourette's syndrome (motor & vocal tics) at different times.  I realized over time that it all started when I began to add foods to his diet that he had not previously had, like McD's, pre-packaged convenience foods & the dreaded food dyes. All of his behavior & health issues can be traced to different ingredients or chemicals in most main stream food today.  While trying to figure out his issues, I eliminated foods in my diet, in support of him & realized that I had many sensitivities as well.  Mine manifest as neck/back pain, joint pain/arthritis, headaches, sinus, heart burn, esophagus problems, heart palpitations/racing heart, shortness of breath, ulcers/cold sores, depression and mild acne.  While trying to help my son, I helped improve my own health more than I could have ever imagined.

I never in a million years, EVER thought that I would blog.  The main reason that I never thought I would blog....... I HATE TO WRITE!  But, apparently my need to help people outweighs my hatred of writing, so my hopes for this blog is that it will help someone else put their puzzle together.  My kids and I have many different reactions to many different things.  I hope that by sharing our experiences, it might inspire others to take a look at their diet to try and fix health problems, instead of looking into a pill bottle for the solution.

So, back to me hating to write.  This blog is for informational purposes only, so please excuse any errors in grammar, wrong puncuation, run on or fragmented sentences, and PLEASE, PLEASE, for Pete's sake, if you see my participles dangling, just cover your eyes & move along!
